Ronda Rousey to be hampered by bizarre stipulation in WWE Elimination Chamber match

WWE star Ronda Rousey is set to be hampered by a rather bizarre stipulation as she takes to the Smackdown arena for an Elimination Chamber match next weekend.

Last week’s episode of Smackdown saw Rousey come to Naomi’s saviour after she found herself in a beatdown from Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville.

Following this it was announced that Rousey and Naomi would join up to take on Flair and Deville in an Elimination Chamber match.

However, it seems the 35-year-old is set to be hit with a baffling stipulation when taking to the chamber.

This week’s Smackdown episode has already been filmed due to WWE stars heading out to Saudi Arabia this week.

This early taping has allegedly led to some leaks, and PWInsider has revealed that Rousey is set to be hampered whilst in the Elimination Chamber.

As a result they have suggested that the WWE star will in fact have one arm tied behind her back for the duration of the women’s tag team clash.

They wrote: “Ronda Rousey will wrestle with one arm behind her back at the WWE Elimination Chamber this Saturday 2/19, PWInsider.com has confirmed

“Rousey and Naomi will be wrestling Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville at the event in Saudi Arabia.

“The stipulation will be revealed as part of this Friday’s Smackdown episode, which was taped last week in New Orleans.”

As well as this, wrestling fans can also expect to see a new champion on this edition of Smackdown WWE.

The wrestling promoters revealed that Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to capture the Intercontinental Championship.

WWE revealed in a statement : “During a special SmackDown taping on Feb. 11, Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to capture the Intercontinental Championship.

“Tune in to SmackDown next Friday at 8/7 C on FOX to see how The Master Strategist emerged victorious in the hard-fought battle for the gold!”
