Ron Gordon wants Hibs to take a leaf out of the books of successful Spanish clubs Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.
The Easter Road club's chairman admires the "culture and environment" in place at Sevilla and is in awe of their youth network.
As for Atleti, he likes their doggedness and would like to see Shaun Maloney's side implement some of that.
Gordon explained his differing reasons for taking inspiration from both clubs to HQ - the official Hibernian FC magazine,
He said: “There’s a sense at Sevilla they’re a club that always delivers and is particularly good at building youth programmes.
“And in the Europa League is probably one of the most successful clubs in the last 10-15 years.
“It has a culture and an environment we want to emulate and is one of the things I put in the strategic plan for Hibs, hopefully we do that.
“We’re a players' club and want to nurture our players and create an environment for them to be as successful as possible.
“Atletico Madrid I like because it’s a gritty club.
“It doesn’t matter who they play, you know you’re in a match with them.
“I think sometimes at Hibs I’d like for us to show that a little bit - it is a game and they’re going to give you a game.”
