Roman Kemp transforms into a fierce queen with makeover by Drag Race UK star Bimini

Roman Kemp sent fans into a frenzy when he slayed in fierce drag live on air thanks to drag legend RuPaul's protege Bimini, who transformed the radio presenter into a killer queen.

Roman, 28, who previously appeared in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, was turned into Ro-Man Eater by the runner up of the British edition of the Emmy winning show, complete with gag-worthy make-up, electric blue wig and skintight leotard.

Roman gave his first ever drag performance on his Capital show, singing lyrics to a song which had been written especially for his "sickening" new drag character.

The radio presenter told listeners: "This is something I’ve wanted to do for so long, but I have a new-found respect for how hard it is to do it."

Sharing pictures of the transformation, the presenter could be seen wearing a wig cap before his eyebrows were glued down and disguised to make room for a much more daring set.

Clever contouring made the most of Roman's cheekbones and the all-important padding was stuffed into a pair of tan tights to give the presenter a more curvy shape.

Gobsmacked at the results of her co-host's mind-blowing makeover Sian Welby said: "You would not know that this is our very own scruffy Roman Kemp who’s barely brushed his hair normally.

"The eyelashes are incredible, the lips, they eyebrows are totally different."

Bimini, who looked stunning in a pair of thigh high red leather boots and white fur coat, was on the show to promote Pride Month.

Talking to Ro-Man Eater, Bimini said: "I think Pride is about just being able to accept yourself. And it’s fine for people that just haven’t reached there yet.

"If you’re listening and you feel that you’re not ready to come out, you’re a bit afraid of that, know that there is no destination to get to.

"You’ve got to take things slow, do it for yourself, and ultimately Pride is about coming together as a community and just celebrating who we are and the diversity, and celebrating ourselves for being ourselves."

Bimini, also known as Thomas Hibbitts, made it to the top three of the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, which aired earlier this year on BBC 3.

After a final showdown in lip-sync between Lawrence Channey, Tayce, and Bimini, Scottish drag queen Lawrence took home the crown.

Bimini had an army of support on social media, with one fan saying: "Gonna take some time to get over Bimini not winning but congrats Lawrence we finally have our 1st big girl winner #DragRaceUK ".

The queen, who hails from Norwich, also won the highly prized Snatch Game episode of the show for her impression of Katie Price.

Her performance as former glamour model Katie, 42, saw her reference a much-discussed interview on This Morning that Katie did in 2019 with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby in which she listed recent dramas in her life, including her mother's illness and her marital issues.

The clip went on to become a meme in its own right and went viral on social media.
