Roman Kemp slammed by fans over toe-curling Keanu Reeves interview on British culture

Roman Kemp was slammed by fans for his toe-curling interview with Keanu Reeves on British culture.

Capital Radio listeners tuned into the 30-year-old's radio show on Wednesday and listened to his pre-recorded chat with the John Wick actor.

Roman questioned the 58-year-old actor on British culture and left Keanu dumbfounded by the references he made.

At one point, Roman asked the iconic Canadian actor if his character John Wick would be able to beat 'the nation's P.E teacher' Joe Wicks in a fight.

Despite being confused, Keanu was a good sport about it and said: "Fantastic! I know it's hard to believe but John Wick doesn't really wanna fight, so let's just talk about life and fitness, John Wick hashtag fitness!"

Roman didn't stop there with the awkward conversation as he went on to tell Keanu that John Wick sounded like hardware chain store Wickes.

"For when you just have to get it done, I'm gonna Wickes my bathroom, I'm gonna Wickes my new kitchen!" Keanu responded.

Roman decided it would be a good idea to end the interview with an impression of his interviewee.

"So, I try to change the face first, and how I do that it, you're about to sneeze, lean back, eyes are gone, and you're now confused about the sneeze, and then it goes, "what?" (impersonating Keanu] 'so you see, what I'm tryin' to do here?'" he said.

The interview was shared on the Capital Official Instagram along with the caption: "Is this the most awkward interview of all time?!"

Fans couldn't handle the cringe-worthy interview and took to the comment section to complain about it.

"Oh my goodness, that’s utter cringe. Keanu is such a lovely gentleman, I felt for him big time watching this!!" one user said.

Another added: "Please tell me these weren’t the questions."

"Had to turn over to Capital Dance," another listener commented.

Keanu has been busy promoting the fourth instalment of John Wick, which is being released in the UK later this week.

Speaking about the reason he keeps coming back to the role, he said: "I like his humour, I like his will, I like his grief and it’s really fun to play him in these films, these films are fun."
