Roman Kemp has said he’s lost count of the number of times one of his exes has seen his dad Martin Kemp’s bare bottom.
The Capital DJ, 29, revealed that he was “constantly apologising” for the Spandau Ballet singer’s penchant for walking around his house in his birthday suit.
Recalling how former girlfriends would say, “Oh my God - I’ve just seen your dad’s arse”, Kemp told OK! magazine: “As a kid, I was constantly apologising for my dad walking round in a towel – or barely a towel.
“I can’t walk naked in front of my mum and dad, but I do normally!”
The broadcaster, who is currently single, also discussed his love life and admitted that, while he would like to find someone, he wants to focus on himself first.
He added: “Don’t get me wrong, I come from a family of romance. My grandparents were together from when they were 16 and they died on the same day, then you’ve got my mum and dad who have been together for so long.
"In an ideal world, I’d meet someone in the middle of the street but that’s not reality. But I need to sort myself out first. I’m not ready to think about someone else until I can sort my own head out.”
Kemp’s comments come days after he revealed the advice pal Ed Sheeran shared to help him through his battle with depression.
The One Show presenter has previously spoken candidly about his mental-health struggles and last year released a documentary looking at the mental-health crisis affecting young men.
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Kemp said: “Ed told me there’s dirty water at the top and, the more you let it flow, it turns into clear water.
“Each time I speak about how I feel, the water gets clearer.”
The Radio DJ met 31-year-old Sheeran through the music industry and has a tattoo on his leg drawn by the Shape Of You singer.
In March 2021, Kemp released a documentary on BBC Three titled Roman Kemp: Our Silent Emergency, after the death of his friend and Capital Radio producer, Joe Lyons.
In the documentary, Kemp revealed that he had considered taking his own life after battling depression for more than a decade.
Despite usually being found behind the mic, Kemp has also appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Celebrity Gogglebox.
