Have you ever wondered what it tastes like to eat a £10,000 meal? Well, Roman Kemp appears to have found out after he accidentally ate a Cadbury's 'half-and-half' Creme Egg.
The radio star claims to have been innocently tucking into his sweet treat on Sunday evening when he spotted the unusual combination of half milk and half white chocolate.
Painfully, it appears that he could have missed out on a huge wad of cash as the special creme eggs are part of a competition run by Cadbury's, running until 9 April.
The chocolate stalwart has hidden a selection of these special eggs for lucky shoppers to find, and be in a chance to win £10,000. Roman claims he had no idea, and only realised when he took to Twitter to share the unusual egg and fans told him he may have missed out.
Crucially, chocolate lovers can only claim the prize if the egg remains uneaten, leaving Roman in a serious pickle.
Roman took to Twitter to express his shock that he'd unwrapped a half-and-half egg, and chaos ensued after he realised it could've been worth something if he hadn't eaten it.
He tweeted: "What is this??? HALF WHITE HALF MILK CHOCOLATE??", tagging Cadbury in the comments.
Soon after the original tweet, he panicked: "I HAVE ALREADY EATEN IT AND PEOPLE ARE SAYING ITS WORTH 10K!?"
He followed that up with the desperate plea: "I HAVE EATEN IT. WHAT DO I DO NOW? HELPPPPPPPPP", then when people accused him of pranking them on the social media platform, he responded: "PEOPLE SAYING ITS A PRANK OR THAT IVE TIPPEXED IT. I F******** WISH."
In order to claim the prize money, customers have to call a number that is printed on the tin foil wrapping to register the win.
When you call, you'll be asked to answer various verification questions including the unique code on the ticket, date and location of purchase and the retailer it was purchased from.
"Is that not one of the ones that's worth like £10,000???", someone asked on Twitter.
Others tried to reassure the star, claiming that if he had the wrapper he could still claim the money.
They wrote: "If you have the wrapper/ticket you should be ok. There's a code in it and a phone number to call."
Another Twitter user said that wasn't the case, as they wrote: "It says don't eat it or you could be disqualified".
Others encouraged him to donate the money to charity, commenting: "Not that you need the cash Roman but if real you could donate to a charity."
Someone rubbed salt into the wound, writing: "Now you know how all those people that forgot to say Capital give me the cash feel", referring to his Capital radio show competition.
Roman was so mortified that he addressed it this morning on his radio show, begging someone from Cadbury to get in touch with him.
He said: "Someone who works for Cadburys and listens to the show, can you please come and talk to me? It's a dark time right now!"
The Mirror reached out to Cadbury's for comment.
