The Centre, Livingston is running a host of fun, free circus workshops this summer where kids will get the chance to learn how to juggle and spin plates with some of the country’s top circus performers.
The series of free events was launched on Saturday, July 1 with a special One Big Day fundraiser for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and local charity, River Kids, which helps disadvantaged families in West Lothian, where kind-hearted shoppers made donations to take part.
Throughout the summer, every Saturday and Wednesday from 12pm until 4pm until August 12, The Centre, Livingston will continue to run the free circus skills
workshops for little ones, outside Waterstones, with spaces allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Families can also take part in a weekly #CircusSelfie competition to be in a with a chance of winning a £100 Gift Card by capturing a photo next to one of the circus themed props located around the shopping centre and tagging The Centre @thecentrelivingston on Instagram.
Katie Gallacher, Marketing Manager at The Centre, Livingston, said: “Our circus skills workshops got off to a fantastic start this weekend – there was such a great buzz in the mall!
“Thanks to everyone who came along and took part in the fun and helped us raise money for two great charities, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and River Kids.”
One Great Day, is a UK-wide charity which was established in 2014, to encourage people to help raise money on one day throughout the year for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and a local charity. So far it has raised over £950k for over 330 different children’s health charities across the country.
