Disgraced as the first serving premier to be found, and fined for, breaking the law, rogue Boris Johnson’s shameless arrogance is an insult to every Briton.
It is also an insult to our democracy itself.
Instead of haughtily telling our abused country to “move on”, Conservative Ministers and MPs should be telling the dishonourable felon to “move out” – of No10 Downing Street.
Johnson desperately clinging to the keys, exploiting the terrible events in Ukraine as a personal excuse to stay put, is indecent.
It is also another insult to the tens of millions of people who rightly followed his Covid laws.
Families who couldn’t be with dying loved ones or attend funerals are the best of British.
In Parliament he will pour extra salt into a deep, bleeding wound when he paints himself as a victim of a great miscarriage justice – the lawmaker who supposedly didn’t know the laws he imposed on everyone else.
Johnson is a fraud, a serial liar.
He must resign or he deserves to be sacked.
Protect them
Prisoners of war, including two Britons serving in the Ukrainian military, must be treated with compassion and respect under the Geneva Convention.
We urge the Foreign Office to exert all the pressure it can to protect the men and plead with Vladimir Putin to do the right thing.
Russia parading captives on TV is another international crime.
Regrettably, Ukraine has also used captured Russians as propaganda tools.
