Rodrigo Moreno believes this long period of preparation ahead of the Premier League's return will allow Leeds United to work on some of their weaknesses during the first part of the season. The Whites are currently out in Spain this week as they switch their focus to building up match fitness for their clash with Manchester City on December 28.
Leeds will face an away match at Elche on Thursday before hosting Real Sociedad and AS Monaco later this month. Upon the conclusion of the first 14 matches, Leeds sit 15th in the table just two points clear of the bottom three.
Despite some promising signs, there have been some clear weaknesses to Leeds' game so far, including the loss of several winning positions, the fourth worst defensive record in the division and their struggles to beat teams who sit back. Speaking to leedsunited.com, Rodrigo is confident that Leeds can use this time effectively to rectify some of those deficiencies.

He said: “This season is a bit different, because we have the break in the middle of the season. For sure, for us now in this moment, it’s an excellent and good moment to keep working. We will try to solve some problems we had during the first period of the season.
“So it’s a good moment to be here and spend some time with the team, staff and everyone else here. It’s been a very good two days so far. I think it’s an important moment to be together, spend time together, because it’s true that if we were in England everyone would be at the training ground then to their own houses.
“So it’s good to be here and make the team stronger, to prepare for the second part of the season.”
