Rodrigo has apologised to Leeds United supporters after his mistake led to Arsenal's Bukayo Saka scoring the only goal against the Whites at Elland Road on Sunday.
While their performance showed signs of promise, Leeds lost the game 1-0 to the Gunners courtesy of Saka's first half strike. And it was the Spaniard's wayward back pass that led to Arsenal's goal.
With Leeds looking to counter, Rodrigo tried to pull off a wild cross-field pass, only for it to end up at Martin Odegaard's feet after Saka had headed the ball down to the Norwegian.

Odegaard then picked out a sublime pass in behind the Leeds defence to find Saka, who blasted home past Whites keeper Illan Meslier to give the Gunners the lead.
It was an unfortunate moment for one of Leeds' most senior players. The Whites are on a poor run of form of late and could do without their experienced heads producing an unforced error of this magnitude.
And in the aftermath of the defeat, Rodrigo has sent Leeds fans an apology on Instagram.
The post read: "Many times the learning process is given through the error. My bad yesterday. Looking forward to the next one."
