Rodrigo Bentancur has trained with his new Tottenham team-mates for the first time since securing his January deadline day move from Juventus, football.london understands.
The 24-year-old sealed a switch to north London from the Serie A giants, along with former Bianconeri team-mate Dejan Kulusevski.
The Uruguayan midfielder had been on international duty with Uruguay when the transfer was completed, and scored in Tuesday’s 4-1 World Cup qualifying win over Venezuela.
But football.london now understands that the midfielder arrived in the UK this morning, and trained with the rest of the Spurs squad this afternoon.
It's understood there were no complications in obtaining his work permit.
Kulusevski also trained with his new team-mates, as did Son Heung-min, who has recently recovered from injury.
Antonio Conte will no doubt be pleased that he got to see his two new signings in action for the first time, especially with Tottenham due to face Brighton in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
Following his arrival, Bentancur told the club's official website: "It’s a great club with great players – always competing in all competitions.
“I was very happy when I heard about the interest in me and thankfully I’ve joined now.
“It’s a huge pleasure and an honour to be able to represent this shirt. As I said, it’s a brilliant club and a great league that I’ve always liked and now I’m going to have the chance to enjoy it alongside the other great players that we have.
“I think they’ll help me to grow a lot on a footballing level, and obviously we’ll always try to give everything we can to represent the club together.”
