Rodrigo Bentancur has delivered his first words as a Tottenham player after the club announced the signing of the Uruguayan international ahead of the January transfer window deadline.
The 24-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the north London club, making him a Spurs player until 2026.
The Lilywhites' announcement of the midfielder came just minutes before his Juventus teammate, Dejan Kulusevski, was also announced as a new Tottenham player.
The duo are both set to make the move to N17, "subject to international clearance and a work permit", although Kulusevski has already been pictured signing his contract in north London.
The Uruguay international is currently on duty with his country, who played Paraguay on Friday and are scheduled to play Venezuela tomorrow.
Bentancur will be with his country before making the move to N17, reuniting with his Juventus teammate and meeting his new squad.
Before his arrival, the 24-year-old has already made a positive opening statement to the fans of his new club.
"Hello everyone, I am Rodrigo Bentancur and I'm very happy to be Spurs' new player," the midfielder said. "Very happy with this stage of my life and I will give everything I can for the shirt. My best wishes to everybody."
Tottenham have already announced the temporary departures of Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil, with Dele Alli also likely to make an exit ahead of the 11pm deadline.
This will make Antonio Conte lighter with his options in the middle of the field and Bentancur will compete with the likes of Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Harry Winks for a place in the starting XI.
Conte will hope the Uruguayan can add some much-needed creativity to the middle of the pitch and will hope it doesn't take the 24-year-old too long to adapt to English football, so he can make an immediate impact on the Spurs squad.
