Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a blow as midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The Uruguayan has been a key component of Antonio Conte's midfield as they sit outside the Champions League places, Liverpool are 10 points behind their European rivals with two games in hand. He opened the scoring against Leicester City but becomes the latest member of the Spurs squad to join the treatment table after it was confirmed Yves Bissouma would undergo surgery on an ankle injury.
On Sunday, the north London side got the news they were dreading as it was confirmed that the 25-year-old would miss the remainder of the campaign.

He was forced off with over a quarter of an hour left after going down following a challenge on Nampalys Mendy. His replacement was the inexperienced 20-year-old Pape Matar Sarr.
It has been said that the former Juventus midfielder will require six or seven months to recover from the injury while the timescale on Bissouma has yet to be confirmed by Spurs.
Liverpool host Conte's side at the end of April looking to do the double over the north London outfit. By then the Reds will be hoping to have turned around their fortunes after failing to win in 2023 thus far.
They host Everton on Monday in the Merseyside derby looking to break that duck and make positives strides in their ambition of salvaging a respectable campaign in the Premier League.
