Rodney McAree thought back to an old saying of his dad Joe's as Glentoran bounced back from a slow start at Ballymena United to take all three points.
The Glens took a while to get going at The Showgrounds following their 3-0 drubbing of Linfield in Tuesday night's Big Two clash and found themselves a goal behind before the half hour as Sean Graham put the hosts in front.
Jay Donnelly brought the visitors level on 42 minutes before brother Ruaidhri completed the turnaround with two quickfire goals before the hour mark as the Oval men flexed their muscles.

McAree was pleased to see his side show their quality in the end but he admitted he had his dad's words ringing in his ears, thankfully though this time they did not come to pass.
"My dad always said if you start like a donkey you finish like a donkey," he said
"I thought we started like a donkey but we got ourselves going and we improved as the game went on.
"We started the game poorly and were sloppy and lethargic in the first half hour. I thought Ballymena did better than us in that time.
"Once we started doing things quicker and a little bit tidier we gradually grew into the game.
"Tuesday night might have had an impact as the boys put a lot of effort into it.
"We worked extremely hard against Linfield to get the three points and get the result which we did.
"So maybe it took a bit of time to get the legs going again, or they maybe dwelt on the fact that we had just beaten Linfield 3-0.
"It is very hard when you start poorly, it's hard to get yourself going again."
