Rodgers reveals Celtic VAR concerns will be raised at meeting with SFA tomorrow

Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Celtic's concerns about VAR will be raised at a meeting with the SFA tomorrow.

It comes after the club have previously questioned the implementation of the technology.

At the Parkhead side's AGM, chief executive Michael Nicholson explained the club’s communication with the governing body over refereeing and VAR - and revealed that there's a meeting TOMORROW on the subject.

"It’s an important issue. We need to be mindful of our responsibilities with officials. We ask the SFA for fairness and transparency.

"We have worked with the SFA to improve refereeing and VAR. There’s a meeting tomorrow to discuss this.”

And Rodgers, who has previously stated he would "get rid" of the technology if he could, confirmed the Scottish champions' concerns would be raised at the meeting.

"We can do that, we have representatives from the club that will be there, unfortunately for us it is within our training schedule and timing so yeah they will represent the club there.

"I think it is a year where they will assess it and look at it, I've been seeing it for a few more years down south and I will focus on the football.

"We have got dialogue here at the club and the views that get represented from Michael and Chris [Mckay] that go will be representative of what we think."
