Rodgers names Celtic team to face Raith Rovers with nine changes for Scottish Cup tie

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed his team to face Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup this evening.

From Wednesday's 6-0 trouncing of Dundee, the Parkhead boss has made nine alterations.

Most notably, between the sticks, Viljami Sinisalo has been drafted in to make his Celtic debut.

The 23-year-old stopper joined the Scottish Premiership champions from Aston Villa for £1m last summer but has yet to make his competitive bow in green and white.

He takes the place of Kasper Schmeichel, who has a slight back issue.

Last time out in the Scottish Cup, Celtic defeated Kilmarnock by two goals to one, with goals coming from Callum McGregor and Daizen Maeda.

Victory this evening would send them into the quarter-finals of the competition for the fourth time in a row, with a sought-after domestic treble well within the sights of Rodgers and his team.

Celtic starting XI: Sinisalo, Ralston, Murray, Scales, Schlupp, McGregor, McCowan, Bernardo, Kuhn, Yang, Maeda.

Subs: Bain, Taylor, Jota, Idah, Nawrocki, Kenny, Engels, Hatate.
