In the closing stages of Celtic's 3-0 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox today (Thursday), Arne Engels was struck with a coin thrown from the stands while standing over a corner kick. Brendan Rodgers has now addressed the incident.
Speaking during his post-match media conference at the stadium, the Irishman described the flashpoint as "not great" for the game.

When asked if Engels was okay after the incident, Rodgers said: "Yes, thankfully, [if] it was an inch lower he'd have been [hit] right in the eye.
"But yes, I think he's OK. It's not obviously great for the game, but yes, he's OK.
Rodgers was then asked if the missile thrown was indeed a coin, to which he replied: "Yes".
