Rodgers confirms three Celtic players out of Scottish Cup semi-final through injury

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed three Celtic players will miss the Scottish Cup semi-final this weekend.

The Celtic boss admitted he will be without Kasper Schmeichel, Yang and Dane Murray for the trip to Hampden to face St Johnstone on Sunday.

Goalkeeper Schmeichel is still recovering from injury and is back in training for Celtic but not quite ready for a competitive return.

Yang is due to have his arm out of a sling in the near future after an elbow sprain. He missed the win over Hearts and remains to be unavailable.

Centre-back Murray is another injury absentee with Rodgers revealing a knee issue prevented the player from featuring against Rangers earlier this month.

"Kasper is working out on the pitch, he is still not quite ready yet," said Rodgers providing an injury update.

"Yang will come out of the sling shortly so we will see how that is.

"Dane Murray has ahd an issue. Dane was someone I was looking at for the Rangers game and playing the day before the game he had a wee moment with his knee.

"We are assessing that and looking at that so he will be out as well.

"Apart from that, everyone else is okay."
