Rod Stewart paid a visit to the iconic John Kavanagh 'The Gravediggers' pub in Glasnevin today.
The 77-year-old posed for photos with bar staff at the pub on a historic day which has a special place in Stewart's heart.
On May 4, 1916, Joseph Mary Plunkett, one of the signatories of the Proclamation of Independence, married Grace Gifford in Kilmainham Gaol just hours before his execution.
The heartbreaking and short-lived nature of the marriage inspired Frank and Seán Meara to pen "Grace" in 1985, which immortalized the wedding.
Stewart released his own version of the infamous ballad "Grace" back in 2018 for his album "Blood Red Roses".
On social media, The Gravediggers said they were "delighted that legendary Rocker Mr Rod Stewart stopped by today on the anniversary of Grace Glifford & Joseph Plunkett's Wedding & of course Joseph Plunkett's execution".
The music legend purchased an apartment in Ballsbridge last year that is worth an estimated €6.5million.
He is set to perform in Dublin's 3Arena on November 18 and will then head up to Belfast for a show at the SSE Arena on December 20.
