Sir Rod Stewart has paid a heartfelt tribute to Pele after his death was announced on Thursday.
The footballing icon passed away after a battle with colon cancer and has been remembered by many across the world of sport and entertainment.
Taking to Instagram last night, Celtic-daft Rod shared his own memories when he met the man hailed by many as the 'greatest player of all time', and the rocker posted two images of the two stars together.
In one of the snaps, the pair can be seen laughing and joking with each other while they both hold a football.
Another shows them wearing what looks like to be football tops, while Pele holds a trophy.
The Maggie May singer captioned the post, which has been liked over 65,000 times: "Rest in peace, Pele."
As we reported on Thursday, as well as the iconic Number 10 being the only person to collect three World Cup winners' medals, the global superstar once visited the Scottish seaside town of Troon.
Pele and his fellow Brazil stars had been in Scotland for a training camp the month before the 1966 World Cup finals in England.
Meantime Sir Rod Stewart has been spending the festive season with his family and shared a picture on social media yesterday of his clan gathered in front of a Christmas tree.
It featured his Loose Women panelist wife Penny Lancaster, 51, and the kids Kimberley, Sean, Alastair, Renee, Liam, Aiden and Ruby cuddled together.
