Rod Stewart is set to welcome a grandchild after sharing the sweet moment he told his family that his daughter Ruby was expecting a baby boy.
But in true Rod fashion, he couldn't help but mention his beloved Celtic during the gender reveal .
Ruby announced the lovely news on Instagram, she wrote: "Out of all of the things that happened in 2022 you were by far the most beautiful…We can’t wait to meet you…Baby boy Kalick coming in April…", however her rocker dad was given the honour of announcing the gender to their whole family during a get-together.
In the clip, the 77-year-old can be seen tearing open an envelope which contained the baby's gender inside before announcing, "it's a boy!"
He can then be seen celebrating with his family before chanting "Mon the Celtic" then going on to sing a tune "welcome to the Stewart family".
Ruby is the daughter of former model Kelly Emberg, who was married to the musician between 1983 and 1990. Ruby is also a fashion model and singer who was born and brought up in Los Angeles, California.
On Ruby's Instagram account, where she boasts 44,000 followers, many family members and friends sent the model well wishes.
Model Rachel Hunter, one of Rod's ex's wives, was one of the first to send her love and congratulations. She wrote: "You are going to be an incredible Mum."
Rod's current wife, Penny Lancaster, who will be the baby's step-grandmother, also revelled in the news. She posted: "Can’t wait to meet him".
Ruby's half-sister Kimberley Stewart, who was the first of Rod's eight children to make him a grandfather, joked: "Def has the Stewart nose."
The Maggie May singer often shares his love for Celtic online. As well as donning Celtic tracksuits, his band even has the crest emblazoned on their drum kit, so we can only imagine that little baby Kalick will be gifted some green and white gifts upon his arrival.
