The Houston Rockets kick off a three-game road trip over four nights with Wednesday’s visit to in-state rival Dallas. If you’re wondering how you can watch all the action live, you’ve come to the right place.
The Mavericks are 3-0 against the Rockets this season, including a pair of blowouts in Houston over the previous two meetings. However, they will be significantly more short-handed this time around, with an injury absence list that includes superstar guard Luka Doncic.
The Rockets are last place in the Western Conference for the 2021-22 season, while Dallas is only a game out of the No. 4 spot. Yet, Houston does enter with momentum, having won Monday versus Washington.
The big story in that game — and for the month of March — was Christian Wood. Houston’s big man scored a career-high 39 points his last time out, and for the month as a whole, he’s averaging 22.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game on 61.5% shooting and 52.0% on 3-pointers.
Then again, it’s not quite clear if the Rockets should want to win, from an organizational perspective. As of Tuesday night, Houston’s lead for the No. 1 positioning slot entering the 2022 NBA draft lottery had shrunk to just one game in the all-important win column.
Christian Wood went undrafted in 2015.
On Monday night, he poured in a career-high 39 points in the Rockets win.
It was another reminder of how far he’s come.
