Rocket Attack Targets Israeli City, IDF Responds Swiftly

Rocket launched from the city.

On Saturday, two rockets were fired at the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shoma, as reported by the Israeli military. One of the rockets landed in a supermarket in the area, fortunately causing no injuries, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Hezbollah, an Iran-backed Lebanese militant group, claimed responsibility for targeting Israeli military barracks in Kiryat Shoma with what they described as 'heavy missiles.' However, the IDF did not immediately confirm whether the barracks were indeed hit.

In response to the rocket attacks, the IDF conducted airstrikes on the site from which the rockets were launched. Additionally, two Hezbollah militants were targeted in the area of Majdal Selm in southern Lebanon.

Subsequently, an Israeli drone operating in Lebanese airspace was shot down by a surface-to-air missile. The drone fell within Lebanese territory, as confirmed by the IDF.
