ROCK legend Robert Plant surprised Scottish pubgoers on Tuesday night with an impromptu open mic performance after a show in Aberdeen.
The Led Zeppelin frontman had been playing with his new band Saving Grace at The Tivoli before heading to Under The Hammer to jam with some fans.
Stepping into the bar for a refreshment, the star happened to be there on the venue's open mic night – with Plant delighting the bar’s patrons with some tunes.
Sharing the moment on Facebook, Under The Hammer said: “It doesn’t happen very often that we get a visit from rock ‘n’ roll hall of famer and CBE but last night we were honoured by the presence of Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant.
“Robert and his new band mates joined us after their Saving Grace gig at Tivoli and got involved in our open mic session, delivering their ‘I Bid You Goodnight’ song.
“What a night.”
In the comments on the post, one local fan said the “unexpected jamming session” must have been “terrific”, with others stating that Plant’s appearance was “superb”, “fabulous” and “absolutely amazing”.
Plant’s band Saving Grace was formed in 2019, with the Led Zeppelin frontman performing alongside Suzi Dan, Oli Jefferson, Tony Kelsey and Matt Worley.
They are currently touring the UK and will play at the Perth Concert Hall on Thursday to a sold-out crowd.
