Rochelle Humes sends well wishes to Holly Willoughby as she takes over This Morning

Rochelle Humes took to social media to send her well-wishes to Holly Willoughby as she fills in for her on This Morning.

Former The Saturdays singer Rochelle joined Phillip Schofield for his return to the ITV chat show on Monday morning after his three week absence. Phillip has been absent from the show since Thursday, March 23, as he took time out during his brother's sex abuse trial.

Holly took to social media over the weekend to confirm her absence from the ITV show as she confirmed she was battling a nasty illness. She wrote: "Hi, just to let you know, I may be away for the rest of the week as I have Shingles. I'll be back as soon as I'm better. Huge love."

The former popstar addressed her return on Monday morning as she shared a backstage snap from This Morning studios. This comes just days after Rochelle returned from a family holiday in Dubai with her husband Marvin and their three children, as well as Marvin's bandmate Aston Merrygold, his wife Sarah as well as their two sons.

Sharing a picture of a This Morning branded wall backstage at the ITV studio, Rochelle, 34, wrote: "Looking after my girl @hollywilloughby seat this week..."

She then added: "Get well soon," alongside a bouquet of flowers emoji.

Phillip also addressed his absence on Monday morning's instalment, and after sending his love to Holly, he thanked viewers for their support during this tough time.

He said: "I'd just like to say, it is really lovely to be back. I have missed the show and everyone here and also to you. I wanted to say thank you for your kind messages and support which were really appreciated. Thank you very much indeed."

He then added to Rochelle: "On with the show... Shall we?"
