Rochelle Humes says mum is her support network after 'bad experience' with nanny

Rochelle Humes has opened up about her support network and said she has experienced trust issues in the past.

The This Morning host said she relies on her mum Roz Wiseman to help out with family life, after having "a bad experience" using a nanny.

Rochelle, 33, shares three children with her husband Marvin Humes, 37, — Alaia-Mai, nine, Valentina, five and Blake, one.

The former The Saturdays star said her mum is retired and helps out with childcare when needed, as her and Marvin are often very busy with work.

"My support network is my mum. Basically, she retired from work and I'm sure she probably thought she was about to sail off into the sunset and chill out.

"But I had a nanny before and it just didn't work for me," Rochelle told Zoe Hardman and Georgia Dayton on Made By Mammas: The Podcast.

Rochelle said having a nanny didn't fit her schedule which changed from week to week. She said it was "really awkward" to be off work as the nanny would still be around the home.

She added: "I had a bit of a bad experience with like, trust issues and stuff in a previous nanny role before. So, it just didn't work with me."

Rochelle said she understands it "takes a village" to raise a family, but feels more comfortable with her mum helping out as she knows it's someone who loves her kids the way she does.

Marvin and Rochelle got married back in 2012 and she fell pregnant around four months later.

The couple are now preparing to renew their wedding vows later this year, after their children asked why they hadn't been present at the original nuptials.

"Our kids look at our wedding pictures and are like 'why wasn’t I there?', especially Alaia our eldest. We are like 'darling you weren’t even born'," Marvin told The Sun in August.

"For us it would be great for the kids to see us get married and obviously they will be a big part of the day as well. We are definitely going to do it but we don’t know where and to what level yet.

"But that’s on the card to celebrate ten years to renew our vows and almost do our wedding again."
