Rochelle Humes says 'is she sure' after getting one up on eldest daughter before seeking parenting advice from fans

Rochelle Humes has sought a bit of advice from her fans after sharing her delight at being able to get one up on her daughter. Just like many parents across the country, the celebrity mum has kicked off the school summer holidays with her young brood.

This Morning star Rochelle shares three children with her husband Mavin - Alaia-Mai, 10, Valentina six, and two-year-old son Blake. And it was Alaia who the presenter tried to get some cool points over.

Sharing what happened on Threads, the new Meta app from the company behind Facebook and Instagram that has a text-style format which encourages users to post updates and join public discourse, similar to Twitter, Rochelle wrote: "Kids off school... Alaia has learnt Miguel (Sure Thing) from TikTok...

"It just came on the radio and she's asked me how I know the words?! Is she sure?! I told her I've been singing hi sons before she was even an idea... To my delight she only knows the TikTok clip, she went quiet as soon as the second verse hit..."

She then added: "Mamma 1 - Alaia 0." And fans were quick to respond with their own similar tales while also branding it "brilliant" and "super".

The 34-year-old has since returned to the new social media platform to ask for some advice after facing a dilemma, again with Alaia. "Parent chat: What age is the average mobile phone age," she asked. "Alaia is 10, a lot of her friends have one but I'm not sure it's necessary for her just now..,"

Rochelle added: "She doesn't do anything alone. One of us takes her to and from school and at weekends we are all together... I'm trying to work out if I'm out of touch or if I make sense?" before posting a crying laughing emoji. And it didn't take long for the post to rack up hundreds of replies.

The question comes weeks after Rochelle admitted she was 'not okay' as she shared an emotional family update. She took to Instagram last month to admit to her followers that she was struggling with the idea of Alaia going on her first residential school trip.

Sharing a snap to her Instagram Story of her daughter's packed case, Rochelle penned: "Home and just finished packing Alaia's case. She's off on her first-ever residential school trip tomorrow morning until Friday afternoon." She added: "No contact. I'm not okay."

In her next post, Rochelle shared how she'd attempted to cheer herself up and keep herself occupied ahead of her little girl's time away from home. "Comforting myself with a ginger tea and homemade bread pudding my girl @buildandstyle made me," alongside an image of said treats.

But the tears appeared to come soon after as Rochelle showed herself writing notes fro Alaia to read while she's away. Posting a picture of pieces of paper which read: "Open on night one," and "Open on night two," the mum-of-three simply posted crying emojis and a face holding back tears.
