Rochelle Humes cracks up on ITV This Morning as dog causes chaos over his 'dignity' after own bangle blunder

Rochelle Humes went from being the distraction to being distracted herself as she returned to This Morning. The singer-turned presenter was back at the helm of the programme alongside Phillip Schofield.

She will be hosting the ITV daytime show all week as she fills in for usual host Holly Willoughby as she takes time away to focus on her new show, The Games, which airs live every night this week at 9pm, also on ITV.

Opening up Monday's show (May 9) Phillip explained: "Hiya, welcome to your Monday morning. Rochelle is here all week because Holly is presenting ITV's new show The Games which is live tonight and all week. We'll be talking about that later on. Tonight she's live at Crystal Palace...

"Not taking part," he then clarified. "Hosting beautifully," Phil added as Rochelle said: "I wish she was taking part," with a laugh. Phillip then turned to Rochelle, who was brightening up the studio in an orange top and trouser combo: "Thanks for coming to play."

The pair then cracked on with the jam-packed show and were joined by Alice Beer for her latest money-saving segment which this time was focused on saving money on your pet as our additional family members can come with a hefty price tag. But before they got going on the segment, Rochelle wasn't fully in the zone.

"Sorry," she giggled before explaining: "I'm distracted by what's happening next to me. Sorry! He was just having a real wash and I was trying to block it out." referring to Alice's adorable dog Stanley who joined his owner on the famous sofa and had decided to clean himself on national television.

The camera cut to show Stanley giving himself a pamper when Phillip shouted at producers to stop in order to protect the pooch’s 'dignity', which was very much out the window by this point.

"Cut off, Stanley! Just for his dignity," the host shouted. "Please! What are you thinking?! Stop it," he added as Rochelle commented: "He's got the leg up as well, he’s just poised to go again."

"Let's face it, if we could, we all would," Phillip then quipped, but Rochelle quickly replied, clearly baffled by his suggestion: "Would we?" Phillip answered: "I dunno! If you're watching the telly, got nothing else to do" he laughed as Rochelle asked: "What are you saying?"

He then thought about it further and commented: "You'd break your back." The group eventually cracked on with the segment at hand. But Rochelle had earlier caused a distraction on the programme herself thanks to her chosen accessories.

The former Saturdays singer was left red-faced when she and Phillip were poised ready to interview Dr Sara Kayat as part of a tackling belly fat segment when a golden bangle fell from her wrist. And it caused a bit of commotion in the studio as it hit a gold ceramic chair on its way to the ground.

"What was that? Was that your bangle?" Phillip asked his co-host to which the 33-year-old replied: "Do you know what? I think I have to give up the bangle dream. It's time," as she picked it up on the floor and placed it in the fruit bowl in front of them.

Phil sarcastically added: "That wasn't even remotely distracting. If it was a pre-recorded show, I'd ask the question again."
