Robson Green reveals TV comeback with Soldier Soldier co-star Jerome Flynn

Robson Green has revealed he is lining up a TV comeback with former Soldier Soldier co-star and duet partner Jerome Flynn.

The duo were huge stars together in the 90s, appearing in the hit ITV drama for five series.

They also topped the UK charts with reworked songs Unchained Melody and I Believe.

However, the pair have barely worked together since.

But Green, 57, said: “There may be something in the air with me and Jerome coming soon. A TV show perhaps. We had a meeting and it went well.”

He called Flynn, 58, not only a friend but a “brilliant actor” and added: “Everyone saw that in Ripper Street and Game of Thrones but also on stage – he’s amazing.”

Asked whether the show would be fiction or documentary, he added: “It might be a hybrid. Let’s see.”

Green’s work without his buddy Flynn includes TV series Grantchester, in which he plays Detective Inspector Geordie Keating. Green said another run of the ITV series was planned and a movie had also been discussed.

He also admitted work dried up so much in lockdown that he considered going back to being a naval architect.
