Taking to Instagram, the Soldier Soldier singer said the new series will start airing on Monday, January 23 at 6.30pm on BBC 2.
He added: "For me, weekends are more precious than ever! That’s what makes them so special: the fact that they are different from work days, bookends to a different sort of life.
"Sometimes we forget to stop and take a break because we’ve over scheduled our lives and have become stuck. So, perhaps, one of the best ways to become unstuck is to immerse ourselves in the outdoors and do something that is good for the mind, body and soul.
"Join us on a two day getaway taking the roads less travelled, with friends, family and some familiar faces, to the hidden gems of the North East of England."
Other famous faces set to appear include Hairy Bikers Si King, journalist Steph McGovern and Grantchester co-star Tom Brittney.
