Robin Koch has admitted that he would one day like to become Leeds United captain as he revealed that he wants to be a leader at the club "even without an armband".
Koch has formed a solid partnership with Max Wober at the heart of Leeds' defence following the latter's arrival in the January transfer window. The Whites will no doubt now be looking to tie the centre-back down to a new deal before he enters the final year of his contract at the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign.
The 26-year-old has been an ever-present for the club this term and featured in 25 of Leeds' 26 Premier League matches, going from strength-to-strength as the season progresses.

Luke Ayling has deputised for Liam Cooper as club captain during the defender's absence with injury. Yet Koch has now revealed that he too would like to one day take the armband as he looks to become more of a leader on the pitch.
“I feel very comfortable in the city and in the team," Koch told German outlet Spox. "I’ve also made it my goal to grow even more into a leadership role, to lead the team even more on the pitch, to be even louder in training.
"It’s nice feedback to be voted one of the vice-captains by the team. Of course, it’s also important to perform well on the pitch.
“Why not?" Koch added when asked if he would like to become Leeds captain. "Yes, but even without an armband, I want to be a leader in the team and also set a good example on the pitch.”
