Leeds United defender Robin Koch has revealed that "initial talks are currently under way" over a new deal at Elland Road.
Koch, whose current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2024, has recently attracted interest from Newcastle United. The Germany defender has been a standout for the Whites amidst their struggles in the Premier League, and has formed a strong defensive partnership with January recruit Max Wober.
And Koch has taken the opportunity to address his future by stating that Leeds and his agent are currently in talks over extending his stay in West Yorkshire.

"During the season, I want to distract myself as little as possible with future planning," he told German outlet Spox. "Initial talks are currently underway between the club and my agent.
"Towards the end of the season, and during the summer break, I will deal with it. Now, my focus is 100 per cent on our games and goals."
Leeds dropped into the relegation zone once again last weekend despite drawing 1-1 against Brighton at Elland Road. Victories for Bournemouth and Everton ensured that they both climbed out of the drop zone at the expense of the Whites.
But Koch insists that Leeds' current position isn't a true reflection of their performances, and is convinced they will survive the drop come the end of the season.
"The question doesn’t come up," he said when asked about the chances of Leeds finishing in the bottom three.
"I’m convinced that we will not be relegated. The position in the table doesn’t reflect our performance. We play a lot of good games, but we forget to score."
