Roberto Firmino has expressed his gratitude to the travelling Liverpool supporters who serenaded him for much of Monday's victory over Leicester City - labelling the experience as "unbelievable".
Firmino has not featured for the Reds since making a late cameo in the 6-1 thrashing of Leeds United last month due to a muscular injury and was therefore unavailable for selection for the trip to the King Power Stadium. However, that didn't stop the travelling Kop from celebrating the Brazilian's trophy-laden, eight-year career on Merseyside ahead of his impending exit.
The 3,000 or so Liverpool supporters packed into the away section at the King Power Stadium serenaded Firmino for much of the second half and the Brazilian was later pictured with a beaming smile alongside Darwin Nunez in the stands as 'Si Senor' echoed around the ground.

Taking to Instagram after the game, the 31-year-old thanked supporters for the reception he received during the 3-0 win, writing to his 14.5 million followers: "What a great win tonight. I’m so grateful to God for the unbelievable affection and love with me and my family. thank you all Reds. #YNWA.
"Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. (1 Chronicles 16:8)."
Speaking after the match, manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed Firmino would continue his rehabilitation at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday while the rest of Liverpool's players enjoy a day off after goals from Curtis Jones (2) and Trent Alexander-Arnold sealed a vital three points against Leicester
The victory against the Foxes ensures the Reds head into the final weeks of the season with qualification to the Champions League still within their sights after seven straight victories as they look to leapfrog either Newcastle United or Manchester United into the top four.
Firmino's final appearance for the club will come on May 28 when Liverpool travel to Southampton for their final game of the Premier League season. He is expected to be fit for this Saturday's visit of Aston Villa to Anfield, which will be final appearance in front of the Reds' home support.
