Roberto Firmino’s mum breaks down in tears after hearing what Liverpool fans chanted about her son

Roberto Firmino's mum was reduced to tears as she learned of Liverpool's fans' popular song dedicated to her son.

'Si Senor' could often be heard belting around all four corners of Anfield when Firmino took to the pitch and the case was very much the same ahead of Liverpool's UEFA Champions League success back in 2019, except this time over in Madrid.

Tweeted out via 'Boss Night' a dedicated Liverpool FC events group, Bobby's mum was shown the footage from their pre-match singalong four years ago and couldn't hold in her emotions regarding the chants of admiration shown to her son.

''They're singing a son with my son's name. It's beautiful to hear it and when we're there, Marcella,'' states Bobby's Brazilian mother, as she watches alongside his sister. ''I don't know how to thank you for the love, and for everything everyone has done. It leaves me speechless. Thank you all so much for this,'' she adds.

With Firmino's next destination yet to be established, the former Hoffenheim man received a flattering ovation during Liverpool's final home game of the season back in May, a 1-1 draw in which he scored a last-minute equaliser against Aston Villa.

Having spent eight years on Merseyside, the 31-year-old has received offers from clubs such as Barcelona, Fenerbahce and AC Milan, but is still yet to announce his next destination ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 season.
