Liverpool will reportedly allow Roberto Firmino to "decide for himself" whether he wants to leave the club this summer.
The Brazilian forward, 30, has just 18 months remaining on his existing deal and Barcelona are believed to be interested in his services.
Firmino, who joined Liverpool from Hoffenheim in June 2015, has been an integral part of Jurgen Klopp's team since the manager's appointment the following October.
The 55-cap international has scored 94 goals in 310 appearances for the Reds, winning the Champions League and Premier League.
Previous rumours suggested he would be forced out of Anfield after turning 30, although this no longer thought to be the case.

According to journalist Florian Plettenburg via Sport Witness, Liverpool want Firmino to stay and will enter negotiations with him in the coming months.
The player will reportedly be allowed to leave if he desires - given his contract situation - but has a "perfect" relationship with Klopp.
Rumours of a potential £16.5million summer move to Barcelona are also claimed to be "not hot" - putting the speculation to bed.
Klopp has always maintained his love for Firmino, who is viewed by many as a key player in his iconic Liverpool team.
"He's a skilled player," insisted the German shortly after his appointment in October 2015. "I’d say a year ago for a few months for sure he was the best player in the Bundesliga.
"From the first day everyone could see he can become a very, very good player... when I heard Liverpool took him, I thought, 'Good choice.'
"He needed time when he came in but... he’s strong with the ball, physically strong, fast in a good football way, gets his body between opponent and ball. So he is an important player for us."
A month later, Klopp added: "Firmino is a complete offensive player. He can play each position... he's a nice lad."
And the manager's love for the player has only grown since. "He is a connector, the best offensive defender I ever saw in my life," noted Klopp last October.
"A very important player for us. He’s a ball-chaser, incredibly smart tactically and able to play in the tiniest spaces; to make good decisions in really quick time.
"And on top of that he can score goals, which is why we are so happy when he rewards himself from time to time."
Klopp added: "Everyone in the team loves it because obviously sometimes you think he’s a bit short of getting the praise for the effort he puts in.
"I’m not sure about the numbers... he's a brilliant boy and a brilliant player. It's really a joy to work together with him.
"The way we play it’s not impossible without him because we have options, which is good, but how we started playing years ago was because Bobby could play the role he played.
"He was very, very influential in all the things we did... everybody loves Bobby, there is no doubt about it. How can you not?"
Speaking about his relationship with Klopp in October, Firmino said: "Besides being an excellent coach, Klopp is a sensational guy, with a huge heart.
"And I can say that, if I’m a better player today, it’s a lot thanks to him. We’ve known each other since German football and, here at Liverpool, we’ve been together for six years."
