Roberto Firmino has already confirmed his stance on Liverpool exit as Juventus transfer links grow

Roberto Firmino’s long-term future at Liverpool remains uncertain with the Brazilian’s contract at Anfield set to expire next summer.

With it unclear whether the Reds will offer the 30-year-old a new deal, he continues to be linked with an exit with the latest reports in Italy claiming Juventus are in talks to sign the forward.

Corriere Dello Sport claim the Old Lady have even offered £19m and are in advance negotiations for the Brazil international, who is said to have welcomed the interest with Liverpool also said to be open to selling Firmino - should a £25m 'price tag' be met.

Despite such reports, the ECHO understands Liverpool’s position is unchanged and they have absolutely no appetite for allowing Firmino to leave this summer.

While there is no update on the possibility of a new contract, he remains part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the upcoming season and the Reds are not welcoming any interest.

Of course, that won’t stop the speculation with the forward’s future remaining uncertain regardless given his contract status, and when considering he has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield and been left out of recent Brazil squads because of injury, with his place in the Selecao squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this winter at risk as a result.

Yet, Firmino has already commented publicly on his future in recent months, insisting before May’s Champions League final that he wishes to stay at Liverpool.

“I want to stay,” he admitted when speaking to Brazilian outlet TNT Sports Brasil. "I’m very happy here. I’m grateful to God to be here playing at a great club with great players, winning titles, and my wish is to stay.

“I want to be here, I’m happy here, and that’s all I can say. I want to stay.”
