Roberto De Zerbi sends Arsenal ominous title warning ahead of Brighton clash

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has sent Arsenal an ominous warning ahead of their Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.

The Seagulls were defeated 5-1 by Sean Dyche's Everton on Monday evening, a surprising result for many considering the Toffees are fighting to avoid relegation to the Championship. But De Zerbi was confident that we will see the 'true Brighton' next weekend when they travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on the Gunners"

"I spoke with them [the players] as I do after every game," the Italian said at full-time. "It can happen to lose this type of game.

"If you attack you can concede more goals. I think on Sunday we will show our quality, we will get back to our style and you will see the true Brighton."

Arsenal will be desperate to sea off the Seagulls and keep their faint title hopes alive. Mikel Arteta's men currently sit one point behind league-leaders Manchester City, who also have a game in hand to play - coincidentally against Brighton.

Speaking after his side secured an impressive 2-0 victory over Newcastle United on Sunday, Arteta backed his players to fight until the very end of season. "It proves that we have done it today, now we have to prove we are able to do it against Brighton," the Spaniard said.

"It’s going to be a completely different game. Really demanding and we’re going to have to be at our best to beat them again.

"We have done it for 10 months, 10 and a half months, now we have to keep doing it. We are there and now it feels very different to 10 days ago. And we have to now make sure that the momentum is there."
