The Los Angeles Rams made a big move at wide receiver on Thursday, agreeing to a three-year deal with Allen Robinson. It was a shocking addition given the team’s depth at wide receiver, but there could be another move coming – one that will surely upset fans.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Robert Woods is a “prime trade candidate” now and teams are already calling the Rams about a deal. Given the circumstances, it seems likely that the Rams might indeed trade Woods, making room for Robinson on the depth chart alongside Cooper Kupp and Van Jefferson, while also creating cap space.
After signing Allen Robinson today, the Rams begin receiving calls about the availability of WR Robert Woods, who is now a prime trade candidate, per league sources. Woods is coming off a torn ACL, but is expected to be ready by training camp.

Woods, 30, is coming off a torn ACL, but he’s expected to be ready by training camp. He said last month that he expects to be cleared by minicamp in June, but he’s going to take his time with the rehab process and ensure that he’s fully healthy before hitting the field.
Woods is an enticing trade candidate, being a do-it-all receiver on a modest contract for any team that acquires him. There are a handful of teams that would make sense, too, including the Vikings, Packers, Bears and the Lions.
By trading Woods before June 1, the Rams would get a net savings of $7.1 million. A trade post-June 1 would give them a savings of $13.5 million, which would just about cover Robinson’s contract for 2022.
