Robert Snodgrass booed by capacity crowd during Open Goal Live disaster

This is the moment that former Scotland star Robert Snodgrass was BOOED by a capacity crowd in Glasgow last night.

The ex-Hearts player was a special guest on the Open Goal podcast as they sold out the OVO Hydro for their latest live show.

Gordon Strachan was among the other guests, alongside members of the Clyde Superscoreboard team, with the usual crew of Si Ferry, Paul Slane, Kevin Kyle and Andy Halliday all on the stage too.

Current Scotland internationals Lyndon Dykes and Ryan Porteous also made appearances.

However, the reaction to Snodgrass' stories did not go down well at all with the 13,000 paying punters who attended.

This resulted in the 36-year-old being booed as he tried to tell another story.

A clip - widely shared on social media site X - showed the reaction of the large crowd, with Ferry and several others on the panel pleading with their fans to stop heckling Snodgrass.

Paul Slane can be heard shouting back at the crowd: "What is up with yous?"

Snodgrass joked: "Tough crowd tonight. I thought you were all from Glasgow? I'm from Glasgow."

It's claimed by those who were in attendance that the crowd turned after Snoddy claimed Hearts manager - and former teammate of his - Steven Naismith was the worst player he'd played with for Scotland.

The show was billed as a pre-tournament warm-up for The Tartan Army before this summer's Euro 2024 in Germany.

Snodgrass has 28 Scotland caps to his name after making his debut under Craig Levein in 2011.

The former Leeds, Hull, Norwich and West Ham star made 25 appearances for Hearts in the twilight of his playing days.
