Saleh took over as the Jets head coach believing that quarterback Zach Wilson would materialize. Well, Saleh saw so many changes at his QB1 position over the years, it was likely making his head spin.
Saleh isn’t an offensive mastermind anyway, but his defensive genius has been indicative.
The Jets led the NFL in opponent pass yards allowed last season, clamping down versus some of the most competitive quarterbacks in the NFL.
This season, Saleh has a reputable quarterback, a solid batch of elite defensive players, and tons of youth at the running back position to change the narrative for his team. Saleh has his alliance built, fully trusting the expertise of offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich.

Unbothered by the criticism, the Jets’ have continued to stay optimistic behind Saleh through the ups and downs. In 2024, Saleh may finally see his vision come into fruition with a team playoff berth.
