Robert Pattinson's 'The Batman Part II' Release Date Postponed

The Batman Part II delayed to Oct. 2, 2026.

Warner Bros. has announced a significant shift in its release calendar, impacting several highly anticipated films. The sequel to 'The Batman,' featuring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, has been delayed by a year. Originally set for release on Oct. 3, 2025, 'The Batman Part II' will now hit theaters on Oct. 2, 2026.

As a result of this change, 'The Bride,' starring Christian Bale, Jessie Buckley, and Peter Sarsgaard, will now occupy the original release date of the Batman sequel. Additionally, the mob drama 'Alto Knights,' featuring two Robert De Niros, has been rescheduled from Nov. 15, 2024, to March 21, 2025.

Warner Bros. has also added a new film to its lineup. An untitled project from director Paul Thomas Anderson is set to premiere on Aug. 8, 2025, in Imax format. The movie boasts an ensemble cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Alana Haim. Details about the film remain scarce, but production is currently underway in California.

'The Batman,' directed by Matt Reeves, was a commercial success, grossing $772 million worldwide. The film offered a darker portrayal of Bruce Wayne's early crime-fighting days, with Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Penguin, and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon.

While Pattinson is confirmed to reprise his role in 'The Batman Part II,' the return of other cast members remains uncertain. The sequel is expected to continue exploring the complex world of Gotham City and its iconic characters.
