Wales manager Robert Page insists he has little concern over the fitness of Tottenham defender Ben Davies.
The 29-year-old has been forced to pull out of his country’s UEFA Nations League double-header against Belgium and Poland as a result of knee injury.
Davies required treatment during Spurs’ Champions League loss to Sporting and managed to see the game through but later missed the 6-2 win over Leicester prior to the international break.
A key figure in the Welsh international set-up, has 74 caps for his country and will almost certainly start at the World Cup, injury permitting.
While Antonio Conte has also insisted Davies’ problem is not a long-term one, missing the final two games before this winter’s showpiece in Qatar is far from ideal.
Page, however, believes there is no cause for concern over either Davies or Joe Allen.
“Not serious injuries. No fear about them over the World Cup whatsoever,” said the Wales boss at Wednesday’s press conference.
