Robert MacIntyre What's In The Bag? 2025 Update

Robert MacIntyre What's In The Bag? 2025 Update.

Robert MacIntyre What's In The Bag?

One of the most prominent stars in European golf currently is Scotland's Robert MacIntyre who, after making his name on the DP World Tour is now trying to establish himself across the pond.

A member of Europe’s victorious 2023 Ryder Cup team, the Scot will be doing his utmost this year to ensure he qualifies for September’s event at Bethpage. Let's take a look at the clubs “Big Bob” will be using as he attempts to make 2025 a memorable year for Scottish golf.

Driver

At the top of the bag MacIntyre has made a change this year. His driver situation does tend to change a lot and he was using TaylorMade models for a while after signing with the brand, before switching to a Titleist TSi3 driver. He has made another change but he has stayed with Titleist and gone for the TSR2 driver which has a nine degree head and is set to D4 in the SureFit setting. His shaft of choice is a Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7 X.

Fairways

The most interesting club in the Scot’s bag currently is his 3-wood, which is a real throwback. Having used various TaylorMade fairways including the Stealth Plus, MacIntyre has intriguingly decided to go back to a 2015 TaylorMade AeroBurner. He has retained the same Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw White 85 TX shaft he had been using with other models though.

MacIntyre also occasionally uses a Stealth Plus 5-wood but that is often replaced by a TaylorMade Stealth 2 Rescue, depending on the course he’s playing. His usual model has 19 degrees of loft and a Graphite Design Tour AD DI 105 X shaft.

Irons

Shifting to the irons, the Scot has made a change for 2025. As he is no longer a TaylorMade staff player he is free to use whatever irons he likes and he has opted for a set of Titelist 620 CB irons, which go from four-iron down to nine-iron. All of his irons have True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shafts. The 620 CB are some of the best Titleist irons out there.

Wedges

When it comes to the wedges, MacIntyre carries four and once again Titleist is his brand of choice. He has a 46-10F Titleist Vokey SM10 wedge, along with SM9 wedges in 50-08F (adjusted to 51 degrees for gapping purposes) and 56-08M. Completing the set is a Vokey WedgeWorks Prototype with 60 degrees of loft. The SM10 is fitted with a True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 Onyx shaft, while the rest are Dynamic Gold Onyx S400 shafts.

Putter

MacIntyre changes his putter a lot. Having used the TaylorMade Spider X for a long time, and gaming the TP Bandon 3 for a brief period, he switched into an Odyssey Versa 7 putter, but that soon made way for Scotty Cameron T5.5 Proto. Currently he is using an Odyssey Ai-One #7S but we will keep an eye out for further changes as the year unfolds.

Ball

For a long time MacIntyre used a TaylorMade TP5x golf ball with the Scottish flag stamped on it, but he is now playing a Titleist ProV1.

Apparel/Shoes

MacIntyre wears Nike apparel and Air Zoom Victory Tour 3 golf shoes. The Scot signed with Nike at the tail-end of 2021 and speaking at the time MacIntyre said; “Clothing is a big part of a professional golfer’s make-up, and it’s so important to have confidence in the quality of what you’re wearing each week. The depth of the Nike Golf range covers everything that I need, and it’s reassuring to know that they will be there to support me wherever I am playing in the world.”
