Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski has reportedly told the Bundesliga giants that he 'won't sign a new deal' as he has already lined up a new club.
The 33-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season, and talks have been in place with Bayern to extend his stay and potentially see out the remainder of his career in Munich. Lewandowski is quickly closing in on Gerd Muller's all-time Bundesliga goal scoring record, and a new deal would all but guarantee that it would be broken.
But Lewandowski may have other ideas, as the Poland international has reportedly told Bayern that he will not be signing a new deal. And that's because he may have already agreed a move elsewhere.
That's according to Polish television channel TVP Sport, who claim that Lewandowski has agreed terms with Barcelona following recent speculation. And due to this, the report states that he has told Bayern legend and CEO Oliver Kahn that he plans to leave the club.
Bayern are desperate to keep hold of their star man, and that comes as no surprise following Lewandowski's 46 goals in 40 appearances this season. The Poland international narrowly missed out on the Ballon d'Or award at the end of last year, as Lionel Messi claimed his seventh crown.
But it appears that Lewandowski may stand where Messi once was, as TVP Sport claims that 'all the terms of the contract have been agreed'. And due to the recent revelations, Bayern Munich are reportedly already preparing for life without the 33-year-old.
Lewandowski has been heavily linked to Barcelona over recent weeks, and the striker is seemingly ready for a new challenge before the end of his career, after spending the majority of his playing days in Germany. And the striker would become the first-ever Polish player to represent the Catalan side.
The striker's representatives are said to be unimpressed over Bayern's hesitation to open talks over a new and improved deal, though the feeling in Germany is that the club may well change Lewandowski's mind should they respond. And reports in Germany have combatted the Polish report altogether.
German publication BILD are just one of the sources claiming that Barcelona have made no contact with the star, and that Lewandowski is still contemplating his future. And the opportunity to break Muller's all-time record may play a factor in that.

Lewandowski already broke Muller's record for Bundesliga goals in a single season (40), and he could break his all-time record too, cementing himself as the best goal scorer in the history of the competition. And with 32 goals already this season, he has an outside chance of breaking his own record.
But he currently trails Muller's all-time record (365) by 56 goals, and even by Lewandowski's standards that isn't obtainable before the end of his contract. So the Poland international must ask himself what he desires more.
Is it to play out the remaining days of his career in Barcelona and help them back to their best? Or does he want to become the greatest ever goalscorer in Germany and extend Bayern's title streak? Time will tell.
