Robert Lewandowski has already had his say on Premier League transfer interest amid Arsenal link

Bayern Munich striker and Arsenal target Robert Lewandowski has admitted that transfer 'rumours' linking him to an Arsenal Premier League move 'doesn't bother him.'

Lewandowski, whose current deal runs out at the end of 2023, doesn't seem any closer to a new deal, with the Bayern board reluctant to hand out a new long-term deal to their club legend.

This has therefore alerted several Premier League clubs including Arsenal, who are in desperate need of signing a new number 9 in the summer after the mistakes in the mid-season market regarding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dusan Vlahovic respectively.

Both strikers have settled into their new sides like a duck to water and despite Alexandre Lacazette's recent resurgence in form, the striker position is still one that cannot be ignored in the upcoming summer transfer window.

And it seems as though alongside the likes of Patrick Schick, Luka Jovic and Jonathan David, Lewandowski's ever-growing uncertain situation with the German giants is being closely monitored by Edu and co who may then make their own move for the record breaking 33-year-old if the opportunity opens up, as Fabrizio Romano has hinted.

"Robert Lewandowski's future situation is absolutely open," Romano wrote on Twitter on Sunday. "He's focused on second part of the season with Bayern - but his current contract expires in 2023 and he wants a new deal to stay. There are still no talks between Bayern and his agent."

The 40 goal contribution player, who is currently under the spotlight due to his contractual situation, could be unwillingly forced out of Bavaria, just like Lionel Messi was forced out of his beloved Barcelona against his will.

If this was to be the case after numerous more rounds in the forthcoming weeks and months of contract negotiations between Lewandowski's representatives and the club, how would the striker in question feel if a Premier League club like Arsenal put in a legitimate offer for his services come the summer?

Well, if his latest comments are anything to go by regarding his own personal take on his future, then a 'challenge' in north London could excite the Pol who hasn't ruled out a try at the big time in England despite being in his 30's.

When commenting on his future before the January transfer window of 2022, a time whereby Pep Guardiola's Man City were heavily linked, he said via the Manchester Evening News: "I'm not thinking about that [contract at Bayern].

"I'm happy with how things are at the moment and focused on the current season. I'm used to rumours every year so that doesn't bother me. I haven't read the press for a long time.

"I'm always ready for the challenge. I don't know if it'd be new, but I'm always ready."
