Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance addressed reports that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is planning to drop out of the presidential race and endorse Donald Trump. Vance stated that while he cannot confirm the accuracy of the reports, he has no reason to doubt them given the communication between the campaigns.

ABC was the first to report that Kennedy intends to suspend his campaign by the end of the week and throw his support behind Trump. Vance mentioned that he has not been directly involved in the discussions but expressed optimism about a potential endorsement from Kennedy.

Vance emphasized that he has not personally spoken to Kennedy and is unsure if the endorsement will materialize. He acknowledged Trump's efforts to secure Kennedy's support but clarified that any endorsement should not be linked to a cabinet position.

During a press briefing in Greensboro, North Carolina, Vance revealed his hope for Kennedy to endorse Trump but stressed the importance of maintaining ethical standards by not exchanging endorsements for government roles.
