Sanders pointed out that the sale of these items, priced at $26 each, raised concerns about Kennedy's views on the efficacy of vaccines. When asked if he would request the removal of the merchandise given his stated support for vaccines, Kennedy explained that he had resigned from the organization and no longer had influence over its decisions.
Despite being pressed by Sanders, Kennedy maintained that he was in favor of vaccines but distanced himself from the organization's merchandise. He clarified that he had no control over the group's operations and had stepped down from its board.
