Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has launched a website called 'Nominees for the People' to crowdsource names for 4,000 political appointee positions in President-elect Trump's new administration. The initiative, powered by Kennedy's 'Make America Healthy Again' (MAHA) campaign, allows visitors to nominate and vote for candidates across various categories such as 'America's Health,' 'Economy,' 'Education,' and more.
The website aims to involve the public in nominating individuals of integrity and courage for key roles in the future administration. Top contenders include Second Amendment activist Brandon Herrera and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton under the 'Peace at Home' category.
Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and Space X, received significant support under the 'Government Efficiency' category, with suggestions for a potential cabinet role or as an artificial intelligence adviser.
Other notable names receiving votes include Mike Rowe, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, and Doug Burgum for various roles in the administration.
Former Nevada City Mayor Reinette Senum was also submitted for consideration in environmental and natural resource-related positions.
While the website has garnered thousands of votes, there are no guarantees that the online nominees will be selected by the Trump transition team for actual appointments.
Kennedy, who initially ran as a Democratic candidate before endorsing Trump, has expressed plans to influence health policy in the future administration. He has suggested significant changes within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and reorganization of federal health agencies.
Kennedy has also mentioned potential actions by the Trump administration related to water fluoridation and vaccine safety investigations upon taking office.
