Robert De Niro has revealed he recently welcomed his seventh child at the age of 79.
The Godfather actor shared the exciting news in a new interview where he opened up about parenting while promoting his upcoming comedy film About My Father. The journalist started asking a question, stating: “I know you have six kids,” to which the actor corrected her, replying: “Seven, actually.”
“I just had a baby.” he revealed.
The Stardust legend continued and discussed his approach to parenting: “I mean, there’s no way around it with kids. I don’t like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice.
“And any parent, I think, would say the same thing. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you can’t.”
Robert shares his eldest two children with his first wife Diahnne Abbott, who he was married too from 1976 - 1988. The pair are parents to Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46, writes the Mirror.
The Oscar winner shares his twins Julian and Aaron, 27, with his former partner Toukie Smith. They were reportedly together from 1988 until 1996.
He also shares his son Elliot, 25, and daughter Helen, 11, with ex-wife Grace Hightower. The two got married in 1997 and seemingly separated in around 2018.
It's unclear who the mother of De Niro's seventh child is, but a representative for the actor confirmed to the publication that the actor is now a father of seven.
