Actor Robert De Niro has become a father for the seventh time, despite being almost 80. The star revealed the news while promoting his upcoming film About My Father.
During an interview with Brittnee Blair, he was about about being a father-of-six. Brittnee said: "I know you have six kids."
But Robert however corrected her about his family, reports the Mirror. He said: "Seven, actually."
He subsequently confirmed: "I just had a baby". It however remains unclear who he has welcomed the baby with.
He shared the news with ET Canada and a spokesperson for the actor - who's credits include The Godfather Part II and Taxi Driver - has confirmed the news to the Mirror.
Robert shares his eldest two children with his first wife Diahnne Abbott. The pair - who were married from 1976 to 1988 - are parents to Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46.
He shares twin sons Julian and Aaron, 27, with his former partner Toukie Smith. They are understood to have been in a relationship from around 1988 until they separated in 1996.
While the actor shares son Elliot, 25, and daughter Helen, 11, with fellow actor Grace Hightower. Robert and Grace got married in 1997 and reportedly separated in around 2018.

He spoke about parenthood with the ET Canada recently, explaining that he believes in "being loving," though suggested he sometimes has to be "stern" with his kids.
"I mean, there's no way around it with kids. I don't like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice," the actor told the outlet.
Robert said he thinks any parent would agree, adding: "You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you can't."
The actor's upcoming film About My Father is set to be released in the US and the UK on May 26. The project also stars Sebastian Maniscalco, Leslie Bibb and Anders Holm.
